Introduction

Hello and Welcome to FliWheel.co, The Car Export Marketplace

In 2014, over $57 billion worth of cars were exported from the United States. Currently the process is handled by several layers of middle men, each keeping their own margins, making the process less rewarding for the seller, more expensive for the buyer and more time consuming.

We want to allow buyers and sellers to take direct control of the process. At FliWheel.co you can negotiate directly with US sellers. Once a deal is reached the buyer can handle the entire purchase and export process through our website. This includes payment, inspection, transportation, shipping, paperwork and tracking.

If we are not facilitating the purchase of a car for you, we can still help you inspect, transport, ship and track vehicles through our Logistics services. We work with world class logistics providers and handle the entire process in a cost effective and efficient way, providing you with savings, peace of mind and complete control from start to finish.

Sign up today and find out how we can help you.

Note: Throughout the website, clicking on these questions marks provides tips and instructions

  • In order to get started, sign up by clicking on buyer login and then sign up. You may sign up as a dealer or individual
    • To sign up as an individual, you are only required to provide personal information and a government ID to verify your identity. You are required to provide proof of export if handling the transportation and/or shipping of the vehicle yourself
    • To sign up as a dealer, in addition to the above, you need to provide a copy of your dealer license and information regarding your dealership. The benefit of signing up as a dealer is that you do not have to provide proof of export when handling the transportation and/or shipping of the car yourself

Notifications

  • Since there could be a lot going on in your account, we have created a notifications section to help you keep track of it all
  • When there is any activity in your account, you will receive a notification. This will show up on your notifications page and also as an email. Clicking on the notification will take you to the page where you can view the results of the activity or where your attention is required.

Send Security Deposit

  • Sending a security deposit will allow you to start bidding on vehicles. The purpose the security deposit is two-fold:
    • You will get a credit limit of 10 times the amount you contribute towards your security deposit. We hold this amount because it allows us to reserve the vehicle once a deal is reached between buyer and seller by placing a deposit of one-tenth of the purchase price with the seller while we are awaiting the balance of payment from the buyer. If you are only looking to purchase one vehicle, then you can use your security deposit available towards the purchase of your car
    • The Security deposit can also be used as a charge account for other transactions that you can carry out from your account, including Logistics orders, Standalone Inspection reports and Vehicle History Reports

  • You may send a security deposit using a wire transfer or your credit or debit card.
    • For wiring instructions click here
    • To pay using credit or debit card, go to Billing>Send Security Deposit, type the amount in the field and press submit. You will be prompted to enter your card details. 3% service fee will be added

Sources of Inventory

  • There are two sources for buying cars available through our website
  • Inventory: Cars listed on our website by us and our partnered dealers. You can search these cars on the inventory page and make offers directly
    • You can search for a vehicle that matches your exact requirement by using the search bar on the left of the inventory page. You can save your searches and load them directly from the inventory page as well
    • If there are any vehicles you like, you can save them to your account as well by clicking on ‘Save’ on the vehicle listing on the Inventory Page or on top of the Car View Page
    • These cars and searches will be saved in the Saved Cars & Searches page on your account
    • You can make an offer directly from the inventory page. You can also click on the car title. This will open up the Car View Page that shows more details regarding the vehicle. You can also carry out a number of actions from this page. You can make an offer, ask questions regarding the car or order an inspection report or vehicle history report. You can also save the car to your account, print out the page, email it or share it on Facebook
    • If you ask a question regarding a vehicle, you will receive a response via email

  • Brokerage: These are cars listed on other websites that we can help you purchase and export. On the brokerage page, use the AutoTempest® widget to search cars across multiple car listing websites. Once you find a car you want to make an offer on, return to the brokerage page and at the bottom, select the source and paste in the VIN number and website link. You can now make an offer on this car.
    • You can also put in offers for cars on websites not in the Source list by selecting ‘other’ under source and pasting the VIN and Link
    • These cars must be for sale by dealers and must be permitted for export by the manufacturer and/or franchisee
    • Brokerage offers will initially appear as ‘Your Brokerage offer’ under My Vehicles. Once we start working on it we will update the car details and picture from our end, allowing you to see all the vehicle details

Making an Offer

  • On the offer page, on the top, select one of these three levels of service. Your facilitation fees and the fields you have to fill out will vary based on the level of service selected. These three options are:
    • Handle your own transportation and shipping
    • Have us handle transportation
    • Have us handle transportation and shipping (Default)

  • Enter your offer amount and select your preferences. Some fields will say ‘To Be Updated’ and will be filled out by us after you submit the order. You will then be given a chance to accept these charges or edit/cancel the order. This way, you will know the total cost of your order before your offer goes out to the seller. As the negotiation process takes place, the Total cost will be updated based on the most recent offer from the buyer or seller. If none of the fields indicate ‘To Be Updated’ you offer will be communicated directly to the seller.

  • Here is an explanation of all the fields on the offer page
    • Offer Price: Enter the price you want to offer on the vehicle. If you check the buy now price, your offer will become equal to the ‘Buy Now Price’ listed on top, which is the seller’s asking price. You lowest starting offer has to be at least 80% of the Buy Now Price.
    • Facilitation Fee: This is the fee we charge to facilitate the purchase and export of the vehicle. For a full list of fees, click here
    • Inspection: You may choose whether or not to include an inspection as part of your purchase by clicking on the checkmark next to the ‘Inspection Price’ line. If you do select to include an inspection, you may select Yes or No to indicate if the offer is conditional on inspection. See the Reports section for an explanation of how this works
    • Transport Cost: The cost of transporting the vehicle within the United States.
    • Shipping Cost: The cost of shipping the vehicle from the US terminal to an international port. For RoRo shipping, this will be the shipping cost of the individual vehicle. For container shipping, the cost of the container will be split among the number of vehicles in the container.
    • Title Forwarding: Select this if you would like to receive the original physical title of the vehicle. The title will be sent to the ‘Title Forwarding Address’ once we are done processing it. The ‘Title Forwarding Address’ is pulled from your account management page. If you would like to edit it for a specific vehicle, you can do it by going to My Vehicles>Purchased Vehicles>View Details>Title Forwarding Address and clicking on Edit
    • Marine Insurance: This covers loss or damage to cargo during shipment. The total cost of the order will be insured

  • You will also have to fill out these fields based on the level of service you selected:
  • Transportation Information:
    • Select US Exit Port: if you would like to have the vehicle sent to one of our shipping terminal and then handle the shipping yourself. For a list of our shipping terminals in the US, click here

        • All the vehicles that are to be consolidated in a given container must be at the same US Terminal along with titles
        • Shipping preferences can be changed after purchase by contacting customer service. The difference in rates will be reflected in user’s billing section
    • Number of cars in container:
      • This will vary according to container size selected
      • You should exercise your best judgement about how many vehicles will fit in the container. Here are some examples:
        • 45 Feet Container: Up to 5 compact cars, 4 regular sedans, 3 SUVs/Trucks
        • 40 Feet Container: Up to 4 compact cars, 3 to 4 regular sedans, 2 to 3 SUVs/Trucks
        • 20 Feet Container: Up to 2 compact cars, 1 regular to large sedan
    • Container Cost: If you select container shipping, this will indicate the total cost of the container. This cost will be split over the number of vehicles. For example if a container costs $3000 with 4 vehicles in it, the per vehicle shipping cost will be $750

  • Once the order has been submitted:
    • If any fields were indicated as To Be Updated, we will update those fields and give you a chance to Accept, Edit or Cancel the Order. You will receive a notification when the form is updated with these costs. This will give you the Total Cost of your order before your offer goes out. As the negotiation process takes place, your Total Cost will be updated with the most recent offer from buyer or seller.
    • If none of the fields were indicated as To Be Updated, your offer will be directly communicated to the seller
    • You will receive notifications as your order is submitted and costs are updated

Negotiation and Purchase

  • Once the order is submitted, the vehicle will show up on your account under My Vehicles>Outstanding offers
  • The Brokerage offer will initially appear as ‘Your Brokerage Offer’. Once we start working on it, we will update the vehicle details and picture in the listing
  • The seller may accept or reject your offer or send a counter-offer. In response to a counter-offer, you may also accept, reject or send a counter-offer. This process continues until either side accepts or rejects an offer. If the offer is accepted by either side, after verifying the transaction, we will move the Vehicle to ‘Purchased Vehicles’. If the offer is rejected by either side, the transaction will be moved to ‘Archived Vehicles’
    • Note: If an offer is conditional on inspection, the inspection will be carried out and a report will be uploaded to your account. After viewing the report, you will have the option to accept or reject the deal
  • We will place a security deposit with the seller to reserve the vehicle. The total amount due will show up on your billing page. We will also upload an invoice under My Vehicles>Purchased Vehicles>View Details>Paperwork. You will have 4 days to send the payment via wire transfer (See the Billing section for more information)

  • As a part of a vehicle purchase order, you may select a conditional or non-conditional inspection. On the offer form, next to the Inspection field, selecting Yes will result in a conditional offer and selecting No will result in a non-conditional offer
    • Conditional: Gives buyer the option to cancel the deal after receiving the report if they are unhappy with the condition of the vehicle. Buyer will still be charged for the inspection report if deal is rejected
    • Non Conditional: The inspection is carried out and report uploaded once the purchase process has been completed. Does not give the buyer the option to reject the sale after viewing the report
  • Separately, you may also order a Standalone inspection by going to Reports>Inspection>Order Inspection Report or by clicking ‘Order Inspection Report’ on the Car View Page. You may pay for a standalone inspection by using a Credit or Debit Card or your security deposit

Introduction

Hello and Welcome to FliWheel.co, The Car Export Marketplace

In 2014, over $57 billion worth of cars were exported from the United States. This includes used cars that are being purchased from auctions and dealers and being exported. Until now, this was being done by several layers of middlemen, each keeping their own margins, making the process less rewarding for the seller, more expensive for the buyer and more time consuming.

FliWheel.co cuts through those layers of middlemen and allows you to interact directly with the final buyer. You can sign up and list your inventory on our marketplace. Buyers can make offers directly on your vehicles and you can respond to those offers. If a deal is reached, we take care of everything from that point onwards including payment, inspection, transport and shipping, allowing you to focus on selling your inventory. Best of all, you can do all of this FOR FREE! We do not charge the seller any fees.

Selling in the export market with us gives you many benefits including:

  • Opening up another source of sales that you might not have access to previously
  • No Fees! Auctions and other similar services will charge up to several hundred dollars in fees or commissions per vehicles
  • Certain makes and models actually go for a high premium in the export market compared to local sales
  • Since all vehicles being bought are being exported, you can avoid the paperwork and processes required for local sales (such as tag, title processing and taxes) this will lower your overhead and make the sale even more profitable and faster
  • An easy to use interface for listing your vehicle and responding to offers, saving time and effort compared to traditional methods such as doing deals over the phone
  • Buyers are verified and a security deposit is placed to reserve the vehicle once the deal is reached, giving you confidence in the sale
